Nathan Lane's nose pisses me off

I just stumbled upon the utter genius of a girl's blog, whose last post asked this question:

What is the biggest secret you keep from your parents? I know, most of us have several, but what is the biggest one?

Observations of the Day
1. Life without kosher dills isn't worth living.
b. Even if you're a Pepsi girl, sometimes you crave a Coke.
iii. Cats are like dogs without the unconditional love and the unselfish companionship.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's a toughy. I mean, we all have secrets, but for those of us adults who are years from having lived "at home," it's hard to think of stuff you wouldn't want the parents knowing, specifically.

I think one of mine would have to be that I've 'been' with other girls. I'm pretty sure they'd lose it. Another would be that I went through their stuff once and found their stash of pot. I was stunned! I thought my mom was this perfect holy angel from God that would never even think of having pot in her house (other than the stuff I had that she didn't know about, of course). It's probably still there, stale and weak, saved for a rainy day.

I would have killed to be able to find my mom’s pot stash. Sadly, she’s not into anything fun. My secret is the fact that I don’t believe what they believe when it comes to religion. I believe there is some type of god but I don’t believe in the bible or organized religion, my parents on the other hand are Southern Baptist. The Bible is their world.

Oh, and…utter genius? Really? Thanks.

Jen - I have those exact same ideas about religion. Eventually I had to tell my folks. I couldn't keep my mouth shut for another second... it was like coming out of the closet spiritually speaking. Tough, but well worth it, and for me, necessary. One of them is southern babtist, too. Weird.
